Welcome to Cafe de Rina, a delightful hidden gem nestled in the heart of Nagano, Japan. Located on the B1 floor, right behind the bustling MUJI store, this charming cafe offers a reprieve from the busy streets above and transports you to a serene setting where good food and cozy ambiance reign supreme.

At Cafe de Rina, the menu is a tantalizing blend of flavors that reflects a passion for quality and freshness. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes, from delectable pasta options to sumptuous desserts like matcha parfaits that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Each dish is prepared with meticulous care, ensuring that every bite leaves you craving more. Imagine delighting in seafood spaghetti adorned with a rich tomato cream sauce, or savoring the signature hayashi omurice that promises a comforting, satisfying experience. Don’t forget to treat yourself to their fluffy pancakes—a highlight that manages to enchant with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, perfect for sharing with a friend.

The atmosphere at Cafe de Rina is equally inviting. With its chic design and compact layout, the space feels both intimate and open. You’ll be greeted by friendly staff who act like your culinary guides, ready to recommend dishes tailored to your taste. One reviewer, Sierra Erbach, described her experience as delightful, highlighting not only the “tasty pasta” and “freshly made lemonade” but also the attentive service provided by the ever-kind male server ready to make your visit memorable.

Amidst the modern aesthetics, patrons can expect a quiet haven as they enjoy their meals. It’s a perfect spot to relax before catching a shinkansen (bullet train), as mick & goma noted—though they cleverly advise to be patient as the pancakes take some time to prepare. The anticipation is well worth it when you finally dig in. Plus, for those looking for something even sweeter, the bonus mini pancake served with your order is a delightful surprise!

Whether you’re a local or a traveler passing through, Cafe de Rina is a place where culinary dreams come to life, made even better by the warm hospitality of its staff. Kam lung Lau's playful review perfectly encapsulates the charming oddity of enjoying a classic green soda in this healthy cuisine-loving country, reminding us that indulgence can come in many forms. Don't miss out on this delightful culinary experience when you’re in the area!

So, next time you're exploring Nagano, make your way to Cafe de Rina for an enchanting meal that will surely leave a lasting impression on your palate and in your heart.

I went when it wasn't busy and had a very tasty pasta dish, freshly-made lemonade and matcha parfait. The male server was incredibly kind and attentive. He clearly cares a lot about providing a good service. I will have to go back and order a coffee!

The gentleman serving us was very friendly and the food was tasty! He also set the right expectations for the cooking time of the food. The cafe is located in the B1 floor and is connected to the MUJI. Would recommend this place!

Classic green soda, there's this healthy food image in Japan, and here's this completely artificial drink...love it

This cafe is very good! My fiend tried the seafood spaghetti with tomato cream sauce and it was super delicious (she even regretted not having the big size). I tried the hayashi omurice, which is also good. It’s a tiny and quiet place. The only downside is that the owner doesn’t really speak much English but he looks kind. If you see this review, please come and try the food.

Unassuming little place but with an owner who cares very much about his product and serves it with a smile. Highly recommended.

Went twice for both lunch and parfaits. Delightful spot hidden behind the basement Muji in Nagano Station. There was one guy serving, hosting, and cooking. The pasta, omurice, and parfaits were all delicious, that was the best pesto pasta I’ve had… maybe ever.
